BALI – The fight against drugs is not only about law enforcement and strict action. It also requires compassion, empathy, and a humanitarian approach for people and communities affected by the threat of drug abuse.

This approach was demonstrated by the Denpasar City National Narcotics Agency (BNN Denpasar) through a social service activity at the RHMC Indonesia Foundation in Denpasar on Tuesday (October 6, 2026).

Head of BNN Denpasar, KBP Dr. Leo Dedy Defretes, S.H., S.I.K., M.H., accompanied by the BNN Denpasar Women’s Dharma Wanita Association representative, Ny. Ina Leo, attended the activity to strengthen ties and share with the foundation’s management and beneficiaries.

BNN Denpasar emphasized that the community should not be treated merely as an object in the fight against drugs. Instead, communities are important partners in building a safe environment free from drug abuse.

The spirit of “War on Drugs for Humanity” remains an important message in BNN Denpasar’s efforts. The fight against drugs must be firm, while still respecting humanity, empathy, and social responsibility.

The social service activity at the RHMC Indonesia Foundation took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. BNN Denpasar hopes that cooperation with community organizations and other social elements will continue to grow as part of efforts to strengthen the Denpasar Bersinar (Drug-Free Denpasar) movement.

The message is clear: fighting drugs is not only about stopping illicit drug distribution and abuse. It is also about protecting people, strengthening families, safeguarding the future, and giving everyone an opportunity to live a healthy and productive life.
